The Federal Administrative Court seeks to fulfil information requirements of citizens and the media within the framework of legal provisions. In particular cases, these requirements of the media may conflict with principles, rights and legally protected interests of parties to and other participants in proceedings. The obligation to conduct fair and uninfluenced administrative proceedings as well as general interest in safeguarding independent administration of justice committed to objectivity may collide with these information requirements. Media relations are to find a balance between these differing interests in a constitutionally unobjectionable way.

For this purpose, the Federal Administrative Court has set up a Press Office.
